A beautiful life, a peaceful death
I remember well my wife's last breath
My son, myself and pastor Jim
Who came to visit on a whim
We three were there to say good bye
For the time had come for her to die
We said a prayer that Sunday night
Knowing that God would make things right
We checked the time, it was almost seven
When Gloria was called by God to heaven
When two loves part, only one will grieve
But we fear not for we both believe
Fred and Gloria, husband and wife
On our lords promise of eternal life |
